Position Overview Faculty bargaining position:
Lecturer (1
Year) in Health & Exercise Sciences, School of Health and Exercise Sciences, University of British Columbia, Okanagan Campus. Full‑time appointment starting August
12026 (or mutually agreed time). This non‑tenure track role has a one‑year term with the possibility of renewal based on funding and teaching performance.
Key Responsibilities Teach up to eight undergraduate or graduate sections per year, with the possibility of one or two summer courses.
Deliver first‑through‑fourth‑year courses in the areas of social determinants of health, health program evaluation, human motor behaviour, lifespan physical and motor development, physical dimensions of aging, and concussion.
Provide service to the School of Health and Exercise Sciences, Department, and University, including attendance at meetings and participation in program activities.
Qualifications PhD (or equivalent) in Health and Exercise Sciences or a related discipline.
Minimum of two years university‑level teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels, specifically in the fields listed above.
Demonstrated record of teaching effectiveness across diverse course offerings at the university level.

Compensation Salary range: $85,000 to $90,000 per year.
