Position: OIB Education Coach Position Available
Location: Oliver

Join the Osoyoos Indian Band as an Education Coach in Oliver, BC, fostering student achievement through support and advocacy. Focus on enhancing student engagement and well-being.

In this full-time role, you will collaborate with schools and communities, ensuring the needs of OIB and nominal roll students are met. Build strong connections with families and coordinate educational services to ensure academic goals are achieved. Your expertise in communication and cultural sensitivity will be vital in this impactful position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advocate for student and family needs in schools

• Support academic goal setting and personal development

• Maintain current Learner Profiles for all students

• Facilitate parent-school-student communication

• Manage tutoring programs and summer educational activities

Requirements:

• Degree in Education, Human Services, or related field

• Two years of experience in education or student support

• Understanding of Indigenous education contexts

• Access to a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence

• Criminal Record Check required
