Are you a certified ECE looking for a flexible schedule and interested in working with a team of awesome people who are passionate about the exciting world of education?
We currently have casual, on-call opportunities in our Preschool for Early Childhood Educator (ECE) - Teacher on call (TOC). (Position profile can be found here)
Position Summary
The Early Childhood Educator (TOC) plays a vital role in creating a nurturing and developmentally enriching environment that supports children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. You will step into our classrooms to implement our Montessori-inspired curriculum and maintain a safe, warm, and inclusive environment.
This is a casual, on-call position for the duration of the school year, from September through to June, for an 8.5‑hour day sometime between 8:00 am and 5:15 pm. TOCs will be contacted as needed, either being pre‑scheduled in advance or contacted the morning of the shift.
Success Factors
Certified Early Childhood Educator (ECE) and a valid BC license to practice.
Montessori Training would be considered an asset.
Past experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, or similar setting.
Current First Aid & CPR Certification.
Clearance of a Criminal Record Check.
Experience in an Independent School would be an asset.
Computer
Skills:
Google Classroom, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Gmail.
Ability to understand the importance of emotional intelligence and empathy in building trust and contributing to a positive working atmosphere across the School community.
Known to communicate, negotiate, collaborate, and build partnerships effectively.
