Support international students at UBCO as an Associate Advisor for Go Global. This role focuses on student advising, program management, and promoting global education opportunities.
The Associate Advisor will guide UBC and partner university students through their international learning journeys. Responsibilities include facilitating workshops, advising on academic programs, and offering support during pre-departure and post-experience phases. The role emphasizes developing and improving outreach programs to enhance student mobility and engagement in global seminars.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate advising sessions for inbound and outbound students
• Assess and support students’ academic and mobility goals
• Coordinate events promoting international learning opportunities
• Develop communication strategies for Go Global programs
• Supervise student staff and contribute to policy development
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field
• 1–2 years of experience in student services
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion
• Proficiency in MS Office and related technologies
