We are seeking an Itinerant Resource Teacher with advanced studies in Special Education. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, time management, and the ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and community support personnel. Your experience with IEP processes and curriculum adaptation will guide your efforts in creating positive learning environments for students with exceptionalities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and evaluate special programming for K-12 students
• Implement effective transition and vocational programming
• Collaborate with educators and community support teams
• Supervise Certified Education Assistants effectively
• Modify curriculum per BC Ministry guidelines
Requirements:
• Advanced study in Special Education required
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Familiarity with the IEP process essential
• Training in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention preferred
• Experience in integrating technology for special education
