Uplands YMCA Early Years Educator Position

Become an Early Childhood Educator at Uplands YMCA in Penticton. This on-site, full-time role is centered on nurturing children’s learning through the Playing to Learn curriculum for ages birth to 5.

We are looking for enthusiastic educators who are passionate about child development and family engagement. In this role, you will facilitate a dynamic learning environment that adheres to YMCA standards while building meaningful relationships with children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and evaluate the Playing to Learn curriculum effectively

• Foster connections with families and support team members

• Engage actively in children’s activities and planning

• Ensure compliance with safety and licensing requirements

• Champion community initiatives through YMCA programs

Requirements:

• Possess a British Columbia Early Childhood Educator Certificate

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

• Current First Aid Certificate with CPR level B or C

• Strong commitment to the YMCA's mission and values

• Skill in relationship building and open communication
