The Department of English and Cultural Studies at UBC’s Okanagan Campus seeks a Lecturer for a one-year appointment. A Ph.D. in the field is preferred, or significant teaching experience at the post-secondary level. Your teaching load will include courses on Canadian literature, with an emphasis on both introductory and advanced levels.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach eight sections per academic year
• Deliver courses in Canadian literature and composition
• Assist with curriculum design and reviews
• Participate in departmental and university committee work
• Attend faculty meetings and contribute to program activities
Requirements:
• PhD in relevant field or considerable experience
• Expertise in Canadian literature across genres
