Central Okanagan Public Schools is seeking dedicated educators for temporary full and part-time teaching contracts. You will have the opportunity to engage in core and elective subjects, contributing to a student-centered educational experience. Applicants should be prepared to bring their skills in home economics and additional teaching subjects based on qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach home economics to middle and secondary students
• Assume additional teaching responsibilities as needed
• Use innovative practices in differentiated instruction
• Foster inclusive learning opportunities for all students
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance student engagement
Requirements:
• Training or experience as a Home Economics teacher
• British Columbia Professional Teaching Certificate
• Two years of successful classroom teaching experience preferred
• Food Safe Certification and proficiency in food equipment
• Strong interest in innovation and inquiry-based learning
