Become a District Psychologist with Central Okanagan Public Schools. This role emphasizes educational psychology, collaboration with schools, and developing supportive learning strategies for students.
Central Okanagan Public Schools values dedicated educators for the District Psychologist position. Applicants should possess a Master’s Degree in school psychology and be skilled in administering psychological assessments. You will engage with teachers, parents, and various community agencies to enhance the education of students and design effective interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer psychological tests, interpreting results for students
• Consult with educators and families on student needs
• Collaborate with teams to design behavior management strategies
• Assist in developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Provide leadership in multi-disciplinary team environments
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in school psychology or related field
• Qualification for Level C educational psychological tests
• Current knowledge of Special Education policies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Eligible for B.C.A.S.P. or College of Psychologists membership
