Position: Project Literacy Education Coordination Role
Join Project Literacy as an Education Coordinator specializing in literacy programs for diverse groups in Kelowna, BC. This role combines volunteer management with educational program oversight.

As an Education Coordinator, you will manage essential programs like the One to One Reading Support for grades 1-4 and the Digital Literacy Program for Seniors. This position requires effective collaboration with volunteers and educational staff, providing training, monitoring, and support to enhance learning outcomes. Your work ensures that over 300 individuals receive necessary literacy support each year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee reading programs in 14 elementary schools

• Train and evaluate volunteer tutors

• Implement summer reading program logistics and curriculum

• Assess and align seniors’ digital literacy needs

• Maintain communication with community service providers

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in education, social sciences, or similar

• Experience with educational programs and volunteer training

• Ability to work independently and in teams

• Excellent Microsoft Office skills

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
