Central Okanagan Public Schools seeks dynamic culinary educators holding a BC Teaching Certificate. The educators will transform culinary knowledge into skills at the secondary school level, using inclusive, skills-based learning aligned with BC's curriculum. This role fosters teamwork and leadership while preparing healthy meals within the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Culinary Arts to secondary students in a collaborative environment
• Create engaging, skills-based lessons aligned with BC's curriculum
• Organize and manage a commercial kitchen learning environment
• Reinforce safe food preparation routines for all students
• Utilize technology for planning and communication in education
Requirements:
• BC Professional Teaching Certificate required
• Degree or diploma in Home Economics or equivalent
• Experience in culinary education and commercial kitchens
• Collaborative mindset to support school goals
• Proven skills in teaching diverse learners
