South Okanagan Similkameen Brain Injury Society – Prevention and Education Facilitator

(Full Time – Summer Position) (Mid-May to August 31, 2026) Reporting to the Executive Director and Brain Injury Team Leader, you will be an energetic and upbeat person who is active in our community.

Responsibilities:

• Provide education and injury prevention information and awareness programs to reduce the incidence and impact of acquired brain injury.
• Implement community events such as Triathlon events, Peach Festival, SOSBIS Education Day, the Farmer’s Market and other local events.
• Promote programs and events through promotional activities.
• Organise and manage event logistics with minimal supervision.
• Communicate effectively with community members and stakeholders via written and verbal communication.

Qualifications:

• Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident Card holder, aged 18-30.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
• Computer literate.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Clean criminal record.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
