Location: Penticton
Join South Okanagan Similkameen Brain Injury Society as a Prevention Educator, initiating vital community awareness programs. This full-time role from mid-May to August 31, 2026 focuses on reducing acquired brain injury incidences.
In this position, you'll take charge of educational workshops and fun community events like the Peach Festival. Your key tasks will include logistics management and promotional outreach to engage community members. Your effective communication will build relationships with stakeholders and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct education on brain injury prevention
• Organize and manage local community events
• Promote initiatives through communications activities
• Handle event logistics with minimal oversight
• Engage community stakeholders through effective communication
Requirements:
• Must be aged 18-30, a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
• Possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable transport
• Proficient with computers; strong interpersonal skills
• Hold a First Aid Certificate, clean criminal record
• Preference for candidates from visible minorities or disabilities
