Position: Part-Time Classroom Assistant II Role

Become a Classroom Assistant II at a Title I school, supporting K-6 reading interventions. If you possess a solid understanding of the science of reading and enjoy working with children, this role is a great fit.

In this part-time position, you will assist in structured reading programs as part of the 'Walk to Read' initiative. We seek candidates who collaborate effectively and have the educational background to support young learners. Your experience with children will be essential as you contribute to their literacy development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in K-6 reading interventions

• Collaborate with teachers and support staff

• Provide instructional support during activities

• Monitor student progress and engagement

• Implement structured reading programs effectively

Requirements:

• Associate's degree or higher required

• 48 semester hours from an accredited institution

• Pass the Para Pro Assessment

• Experience working with children preferred

• Knowledge of reading science a plus
