Position: OIB Education Coach for Community Engagement
Location: Oliver

Empower First Nations students as an Education Coach for the Osoyoos Indian Band in Oliver, BC. Assist in student advocacy, engagement, and resource coordination within educational frameworks.

This full-time position focuses on supporting OIB and nominal roll students by working alongside families, schools, and various community programs. You will play a critical role in developing learning plans, providing tutoring, and promoting collaboration between educational stakeholders for student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advocate for the academic and personal needs of students

• Develop and maintain comprehensive Learner Profiles

• Facilitate communication across home, school, and community

• Implement educational programs including summer camps

• Attend and organize educational community events

Requirements:

• Relevant advanced degree or significant experience required

• Minimum of two years supporting First Nations learners

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and event planning

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle

• Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) obtained
