Le Conseil scolaire francophone de la Colombie-Britannique (CSF) est l’unique conseil scolaire public francophone de la province, avec pour mission d’offrir une éducation de qualité en français langue première à tous les élèves admissibles. Fondé en 1995, le CSF dessert une vaste région géographique à travers la Colombie-Britannique, avec environ 40 écoles réparties dans une trentaine de communautés, de Victoria à Prince George.
Il joue un rôle vital dans la promotion et la préservation de la langue et de la culture francophones dans un contexte minoritaire.
En accord avec la réconciliation, le CSF reconnaît que ses écoles et bureaux sont situés sur les territoires traditionnels des Premiers Peuples de la Colombie-Britannique. L’ÉcoleAnse-au-sable
L’École de l’Anse-au-sable est située à Kelowna, en Colombie-Britannique. Elle accueille environ 240 élèves, de la maternelle à la 12e année, offrant un parcours scolaire complet en français. La mission principale est de fournir une éducation francophone de qualité et de favoriser le développement de compétences bilingues.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, including staff management, financial administration, facilities maintenance, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Commit to building caring and positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, while celebrating their diversity.
- Uphold the values and vision of the CSF (engage, collaborate, innovate), the British Columbia Ministry of Education, and the British Columbia Early Childhood Services, and adhere to the professional and ethical codes of the BCPVPA.
- Commit to understanding, embracing, and bringing to life Indigenous principles of learning; teach the history of Indigenous Peoples of British Columbia and Canada with a focus on the local Nation and the process of reconciliation.
- Create an engaging, safe, inclusive, caring, and collaborative learning environment that promotes the well-being of all.
- Involve parents/guardians and community members by valuing their participation in students' school lives and maintaining ongoing, proactive, and compassionate communication.
- Pursue continuous professional development to remain informed about evidence-based research and best practices in education.
- Value linguistic and cultural diversity, foster a strong sense of belonging, and encourage everyone’s commitment to the growth and vitality of British Columbia's Francophone community, unified in its diversity.
- Respect and promote cultural, linguistic, and identity diversity.
- Place the well-being of all at the heart of all priorities.
- Hold, or commit to obtaining, a graduate degree (master's level) in educational administration or education, or a specialization in education or a related discipline connected to educational leadership.
- Hold a valid teaching certificate issued by the British Columbia Teacher Certification Branch (TCB).
- Have a minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience at the elementary and/or secondary level in a minority Francophone setting.
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of curriculum, pedagogical and assessment practices, and their impact on student development, engagement, and learning.
- Demonstrate proficiency in both French and English, orally and in writing.
- Competitive annual salary of $161,864, depending on experience and qualifications.
