Okanagan College is seeking a Vocational Instructor to teach trades to high school students in the Okanagan region. This non-regular substitute position offers a flexible schedule and aims to foster excellence in vocational education.
The role requires a dedicated instructor with expertise in trades. Responsibilities include conducting instructional duties, offering student support, and participating in ongoing professional development. You'll also take part in curriculum development and administrative tasks, ensuring students receive exceptional vocational training.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging instruction in various trades
• Prepare and revise course materials as needed
• Evaluate and provide feedback on student work
• Assist with student registration and advising
• Participate in curriculum and program development
Requirements:
• Completion of a related apprenticeship program
• Bachelor's degree with teaching experience preferred
• Instructor's Diploma or valid BC Teacher's Certificate
• 6 to 10 years of relevant experience
• Strong English and interpersonal communication skills
