Position: Strong Start Facilitator (On Call)

It is acknowledged that Central Okanagan Public Schools operates within the unceded, Traditional Territory of the Okanagan syilx peoples. The School District enrolls over 25,000 students (including approximately 3,200 students who self-identify as having First Nations, Metis, and/or Inuit ancestry from Canada). Central Okanagan Public Schools is located in the Central Okanagan encompassing the communities of Peachland, West Kelowna, Kelowna, and Lake Country.

There are a total of 50 school sites with 32 Elementary Schools, 8 Middle schools, 5 Secondary Schools, 3 Learning Centres, an Alternate Education School, and an Online Learning School (6-12). Strong Start Facilitator(0875) - On Call

The Strong Start Facilitator will:
  • work effectively with a variety of parents, children, professionals and community mentors;
  • maintain accurate records;
  • be flexible with work hours;
  • create, plan, implement and budget for parent participation early learning program;
  • be required to deal with challenging behaviour issues;
  • attend all early learning professional development activities;
  • have strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills;
  • possess knowledge and experience with computers and the internet;
Applicants Must:
  • have completed Grade 12 (Senior Secondary School Graduation);
  • possess a valid certificate, preferably a diploma, in Early Childhood Education;
  • possess a Class 5 Driver's Licence;
  • possess or be willing to obtain a valid First Aid Certificate;
  • possess or be willing to obtain a valid Food Safe Certification;

The wage for this position is $30.89/hour
