Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: West Kelowna
Barski Industries designs and manufactures fiberglass pump stations for wastewater and stormwater infrastructure across North America. For nearly 40 years, municipalities, engineers, and contractors have trusted our products when failure isn’t an option. Fiberglass is lighter, stronger, and more corrosion-resistant than traditional materials, and we’ve built our reputation on delivering durable infrastructure that lasts decades.
The Role:
Most job descriptions define a box. This one doesn’t. If you’re ambitious, technically curious, organized, and wired to solve problems, this could evolve into something significant.
This is a role for someone who wants exposure to the entire business: engineering, production, sales, and project execution.
You’ll work directly with our management team. When something needs figuring out, following up, clarifying, organizing, or executing, you’ll be in the room.
Review an engineering drawing and clarify a design detail with a customer.
Track a complex municipal project through production.
Join a sales call and help translate technical requirements.
Dig into a bottleneck in operations and propose a fix.
Build a better internal system using AI or automation tools.
There is intentionally no fixed title on day one. You’ll earn the title that reflects where you create the most value.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Field and manage technical inquiries from engineers, contractors, and municipal clients.
Read and interpret CAD and engineering drawings (no drafting required).
Coordinate across production, engineering, and sales to keep projects moving.
Identify gaps, risks, and loose ends before they become problems.
Learn the structural and mechanical fundamentals of fiberglass systems.
Support leadership in preparing proposals, meetings, and strategic initiatives.
Experiment with tools (including AI) to increase efficiency and clarity.
You are not just responding to problems. You are building systems that reduce them.
Qualifications:
3-5+ years of experience in a technical or operations-related role.
Comfort reading technical drawings and asking intelligent questions.
Strong organizational ability. You can juggle multiple threads without losing track.
Clear communicator. Written, verbal, and in customer conversations.
High ownership mindset. You see something broken and move toward it.
Comfortable saying “I don’t know” and then going and finding out.
Curious about how things are built: structurally, mechanically, operationally.
Bonus: experience in municipal infrastructure, water/wastewater, industrial fabrication, or manufacturing.
What you’ll get out of this
Direct exposure to senior leadership.
Deep understanding of manufacturing, infrastructure, and project execution.
Autonomy and real responsibility from day one.
Competitive compensation aligned with experience.
The opportunity to grow with a company that is expanding.
This is an on-site role at our facility in West Kelowna.
