• Create planning level, preliminary, and detailed designs of water focused systems under instruction from a Project Engineer or person in responsible charge
• Prepare deliverables for water or water resources focused systems, write specifications, analysis, modeling and study-level reports, determine appropriate design methods, possible equipment sizing and selection, and work directly with our Clients to deliver an outstanding experience
• Perform as part of a quality assurance team and conduct quality control reviews of completed deliverables
• Support inspections and engineering assessments of existing dams and water retaining structures
• Conduct analyses, evaluations and designs; develop design options or recommendations with supporting calculations
• Support preparation of contract documents including drawings, specifications, design documentation and criteria, and cost estimates including critical reports for various new and/or rehabilitation of hydraulic structures, including dams, spillways, gates, outlet works, diversion structures, retaining walls, flood walls, water conveyance structures, foundations, etc.
• With support from project engineers, perform engineering assignments that may require critical thinking and creativity to address unique elements that have limited or no specific code-based guidance
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of hydropower, pumped storage and dam safety engineering projects
• Support risk assessments for dams and hydraulic structures
• Travel will be required
• Perform other duties as needed

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• 5 years related experience
• Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
