Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, employee‑owned company, is seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our Kelowna office on a hourly contract basis. The successful candidate will work with a vibrant team of Professional Engineers and Technologists on construction inspection projects throughout BC, undertaking a variety of projects for a varied client base.

What You’ll Do

Monitor contractor operations to ensure compliance with contract terms, design specifications, and drawings

Monitor progress and schedules

Prepare daily and weekly reports

Maintain project records and site diaries

Review contractor work procedure submissions

Monitor quality control testing

Review on-site quantities

Contract administration

Coordinate with clients and sub‑consultants

Communicate effectively and clearly in writing and verbally with clients, contractors, sub‑consultants, and internal staff

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in contract administration and site inspection

Eligible for professional licensing with EGBC as a P.Eng or ASTTBC as a AScT

Undergraduate degree or diploma in civil engineering from an accredited post‑secondary institution (asset)

Experience with municipal infrastructure projects (active transportation, water, sanitary, storm main installations)

Proficiency in civil 3D, Microsoft Suite, Adobe, Bluebeam, and modeling software

Familiarity with roadworks construction methodology and underground utilities (valve chambers, manholes, vaults)

Familiarity with road and bridge construction materials, methods, and processes

MMCD contract administration and inspection experience (asset)

Alternative contract delivery experience (asset)

Committed team player with the ability to work independently with minimal direction

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and quality

Ability to work within tight deadlines and schedules

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Flexibility to work on‑site and in an office setting for reporting and design tasks

Valid driver’s license
