Team Lead Mechanical Engineering, Buildings

Based in Kelowna or Kamloops, you’ll shape our local operations and expand WSP’s presence across BC, the Yukon, and Western Canada.

Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure quality and consistency across projects.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in healthcare, education, transportation, science & technology, and light industrial sectors.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building lasting relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
- Lead or support proposals, presentations, and other business development initiatives.
- Oversee mechanical system design (HVAC, plumbing & drainage, fire protection) from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with National, Provincial, and Municipal codes and project specifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 8+ years of experience in consulting mechanical engineering, with proven leadership and client relationship management.
- Demonstrated success in building and managing high‑performing teams.
- Experience with major projects in healthcare or institutional sectors is preferred.
- Proficient in AutoCAD;
Revit MEP proficiency highly desirable. - Familiarity with the BC Interior market and Okanagan projects is an asset.
- PSPC Reliability Clearance, PMP designation, and LEED accreditation are assets.
Allowance will be provided for the successful candidate if moving from out of the area.
