Step into a senior role at WSP as a Distribution Lines Engineer, shaping the energy future of British Columbia through innovative design and project delivery. Your engineering skills will help enhance power infrastructure.
This position requires significant experience of 10 to 15 years in designing overhead and underground distribution systems. You will lead teams in addressing real power delivery challenges, collaborate with clients to ensure project success, and apply engineering principles to the design and maintenance of energy systems. Your contributions will be crucial in ensuring safe and efficient energy delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and analyze overhead and underground distribution systems
• Collaborate with project managers for efficient execution
• Conduct quality reviews of design outputs from junior staff
• Manage construction documentation and material specifications
• Support construction phases with site visits as needed
Requirements:
• Engineering degree and P.Eng licensing in British Columbia
• Comprehensive experience in distribution line design (4kV–35kV)
• Familiar with PLS-CADD and related software tools
• Strong problem-solving and team leadership skills
• Knowledge of CSA standards and powerline construction
