Ecora is seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design and delivery of structural engineering projects across a diverse portfolio of building and infrastructure developments. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, oversee project execution, mentor junior staff, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality, code‑compliant designs. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, sound engineering judgment, and proven experience managing projects from concept through construction.

• Lead the structural design and analysis of building and infrastructure projects using appropriate engineering principles and software
• Prepare and review structural calculations, reports, specifications, and design documentation
• Oversee the development of structural drawings and ensure alignment with design intent
• Act as Engineer of Record (EOR) where applicable, including signing and sealing of design documents
• Manage projects from conceptual design through detailed design, tendering, and construction phases
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architectural, mechanical, civil, and geotechnical disciplines
• Review and respond to shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction
• Conduct site visits, field reviews, and provide construction support as required
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Support Project Managers with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and client communication
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical oversight to junior engineers, technologists, and drafters
• Review project deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and quality prior to submission
• Identify risks and propose practical, cost‑effective design solutions
• Contribute to the development and improvement of internal standards, processes, and best practices

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in British Columbia (or eligibility for registration with EGBC)
• 10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering design and project delivery
• Strong knowledge of structural systems including steel, concrete, wood, and masonry
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP
  2000, SAFE, or similar)
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with BIM coordination is an asset
• Thorough understanding of Canadian building codes, standards, and design practices
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong leadership, mentorship, and team collaboration skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and stakeholder engagement
• Demonstrated problem‑solving ability and sound engineering judgment
• Experience in construction administration and field review processes
• Valid Class5 driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required
