Advance your career as an Intermediate Transmission Line Engineer at WSP, ideally located in Edmonton, Western Canada. Lead high-voltage projects that promote renewable energy solutions and enhance grid integrity.
This role with WSP focuses on managing and executing high-voltage transmission line design projects. With responsibilities ranging from design preparation to contractor oversight, you will ensure that projects meet both technical and quality standards. Your skills will greatly contribute to both project success and client relationships, facilitating effective communication and results.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage technical design of transmission line projects
• Ensure quality reviews for submitted deliverables
• Prioritize projects within budget and timelines
• Evaluate and recommend project routes and specifications
• Support business development and proposal activities
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Engineering Physics
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in transmission design
• Familiarity with PLS-CADD and related software
• Must hold a Professional Engineering license (P.Eng.)
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities in project settings
