Traffic Operations Engineer

Elevate urban planning as a Traffic Operations Engineer for the City of Kelowna. This role focuses on traffic management and operations within a rapidly growing community.

As the Traffic Operations Engineer, you’ll ensure a reliable transportation network in Kelowna. Collaborating with the Traffic Operations Manager, your expertise will impact traffic management, permitting, and signal operations. You’ll review and develop complex Traffic Management Plans and provide technical reviews to enhance transportation safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee traffic signal operations and management

• Support internal teams with Traffic Management Plans

• Analyze road use permits and compliance

• Develop signage and pavement marking designs

• Conduct technical reviews on operational traffic matters

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation required

• Relevant consulting or municipal experience

• Familiarity with Synchro and traffic data analysis

• Significant experience considered for A.L.P. Eng.
