Position: Structural Engineer for Innovative Research
Lead seismic design research as a Scientific Engineer at UBC's ASSET Group, focusing on cutting-edge numerical modeling of concrete structures. Explore innovative solutions in structural engineering.

As part of UBC's Faculty of Applied Science, this position provides leadership in earthquake engineering research. You'll facilitate complex numerical studies, provide mentorship, and contribute to peer-reviewed publications, technical reports, and research proposals. Collaboration with various stakeholders and maintaining high-quality research standards are key components of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead planning for numerical modeling tasks

• Mentor researchers and interns in structural analysis

• Develop and refine computational tools for research

• Author and present research outputs and technical reports

• Engage with industry for collaborative research efforts

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or Applied Science necessary

• Minimum one year applicable work experience

• Demonstrated commitment to equity and diversity
