Field Service Engineering Intern

Build field service experience with Hitachi Energy in Stoney Creek, Ontario, applying electrical or mechanical knowledge to customer-site equipment. Travel may reach 80%.
This paid summer 2027 internship supports the Field Service team and is designed as a hands-on learning experience. Work with experienced technicians on High Voltage Circuit Breakers, Transformers, Tap Changers, GIS, and other installed equipment. Depending on business needs, the internship may be hybrid or fully in-office.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform service work with experienced technicians
Support equipment service at customer sites
Work on High Voltage Circuit Breakers
Service Transformers, Tap Changers, and GIS equipment
Contribute to meaningful technical projects
Requirements:
Pursue an electrical or mechanical technologist diploma
Or pursue an electrical or mechanical engineering degree
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Communicate effectively and collaborate with teams
Travel up to 80% for hands-on work
