Delinquent Account Recovery Specialist

Manage delinquent member accounts through skip tracing, repayment solutions, and clear communication as a Collections Officer I at UCCU.

This Collections Officer I position handles consumer debt, real estate loans, home equity lines, returned checks, and overlimit accounts. You will assess delinquency causes, contact members, and apply collection tools according to circumstances. You will also protect UCCU’s professional image while meeting policy and legal requirements.

• Perform collection activities across varied delinquent member accounts
• Apply skip tracing, extensions, consolidations, and repossessions
• Explain possible legal actions and recommend financial counseling
• Continue efforts through resolution, write-off, or legal referral
• Complete required back-office collections tasks

• High school graduate or similar equivalent
• Knowledge of collection procedures, laws, and regulations
• Familiarity with bankruptcy basics and Small Claims Court
• Understanding of default and enforcement clauses
• Ability to calm difficult situations professionally

Use collection techniques, sound judgment, and member-service communication to help resolve delinquency while protecting UCCU’s interests.
