Elevate public safety in the Regional District of Central Okanagan as an Alarm Bylaw Administrator, focusing on permit issuance and community awareness initiatives. This full-time position fosters compliance through effective communication.
In your role as the Alarm Bylaw Administrator, you will handle all aspects of false alarm management, including billing, permit issuance, and community education initiatives. Your collaboration with alarm companies and the RCMP is vital to reducing incident rates. Monitor alarm statistics and respond to public inquiries, all while ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Issue and verify alarm permits for properties
• Prepare and send billing notices for false alarms
• Distribute information packages to increase bylaw awareness
• Analyze and report alarm statistics through PRIME
• Address public questions about billing procedures
Requirements:
• Diploma in office administration or equivalent
• Minimum two years related experience needed
• Must acquire RCMP enhanced security clearance
• Hold a valid BC Driver's Licence
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
