About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Care Aide to support an elderly woman in her home in Peachland. The ideal candidate will have experience providing personal care, companionship, and household assistance, while fostering a safe, respectful, and positive environment.
Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care assistance (e.g., bathing, dressing) as needed

• Support with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times

• Shop for and prepare simple, healthy meals

• Perform housekeeping duties (laundry, tidying, vacuuming, bathrooms etc ) maintaining a clean and safe home environment)

• Accompany client on short walks, appointments, or errands

• Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support

• Monitor and report any changes in health or behavior to family or designated contact

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a care aide, personal support worker, or in a similar caregiving role

• Home Care Aide or Home Support Worker certification required through an accredited program

• Legally able to work in British Columbia (required)

• Current First Aid & CPR certification preferred

• Clear criminal record check

• Reliable, patient, and empathetic

• Valid Driver’s license (car available for errands and medical appointments)

• Non-smoker preferred
Schedule & Compensation:

• 5 days per week with potential weekend coverage options (hours to be agreed upon, likely daytime)

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
