The salary range for this position is $90,770 (min) to $113,462 (midpoint) to $130,481 (max) per annum, based on 1.0 FTE. Interior Health typically establishes salaries within the minimum and midpoint of the salary range based on qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.
About The JobIn accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the Lead, Acute Clinical Systems (Lead) will identify, plan, implement, and maintain complex integrated systems which support clinical and health information needs throughout Interior Health (IH).
The Lead will provide leadership, guidance, and direction to Clinical Analysts to ensure the application of information systems technology meets clinical and operational requirements. The Lead will serve as a subject matter expert and through customer engagement identify system enhancements and quality initiatives for review and prioritization by the Manager, Acute Clinical Systems, and the Digital Health Leadership team.
Typical Duties And Responsibilities- Consults with the Manager, Acute Clinical Systems and key partners, sets team and individual staff goals and objectives, as they relate to Acute based Digital Health services, which support the mission and goals for IH. Ensures information systems and data services align with organization and program area goals and objectives.
- Provides direction, guidance, consultation, and education to Acute Clinical Systems staff using effective leadership and communication skills. Represents Digital Health and provides technical and procedural recommendations to internal and external partners, including Regional Networks and Clinical Operations.
- Supports the activities of Acute Clinical Systems, including transition of support from new project implementations, ongoing digital solutions engagement with partners, software optimization, software updates, development of application-specific training materials, and support of the associated application software.
- Undertakes complex, integrated clinical and technical projects from development to analysis to post-implementation evaluation and review. This includes full accountability for all requirements gathering, research, business process review and design, procurement, gap/fit analysis, product testing risk methodologies, systems implementations/upgrades, timeline development, partner engagement, risk analysis/mitigation, communication, change management, and issue management strategies.
- Reviews, evaluates, and monitors requests for Acute Clinical Systems projects and initiatives; makes recommendations to the Manager, Acute Clinical Systems.
- Manages relationships with vendors as well as internal and external partners in respect to third party applications that integrate with Meditech Patient Care.
- Assists the Manager, Acute Clinical Systems with development and management of operating and capital budgets for the support and implementation of Digital Health Investment Plan (DHIP) projects.
- In conjunction with the Professional Practice Office and appropriate Networks, develops policies, standards, and procedures including quality assurance and improvement activities relating to these applications.
