In this Laboratory Assistant position at LHSC, you will process blood samples and laboratory specimens efficiently. Your responsibilities include accurate data entry, empathetic patient interactions, and ensuring adherence to established protocols. Key Responsibilities:
• Process blood samples and other laboratory specimens accurately
• Provide excellent customer service to enhance patient experience
• Perform venipunctures and collect quality specimens with care
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information securely
• Contribute to quality metrics and regulatory compliance
Requirements:
• Certified as CSMLS or BCSLS, or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Proficient in English communication
• Ability to travel to multiple LHSC locations
