Northern Computer's Field Services team delivers on site expertise that keeps our clients productive and confident in their technology. You'll be the face on site when it comes to resolving issues, completing proactive visits, installing gear, closing the loop in our systems, and partnering closely with the Service Desk, NOC/SOC, Projects, and Account Management. The role blends Tier 2 troubleshooting with disciplined documentation and client relationship skills.

• Perform onsite technical support as the primary technician for client environments, handling Tier 1- 2 issues.
• Diagnose, repair, and validate fixes for endpoint, network edge, and infrastructure problems.
• Complete proactive site visits on a regular cadence (weekly/biweekly/monthly/quarterly), documenting findings and routing follow ups.
• Install and stage hardware including server racks, access points, switches, firewalls, servers, and peripheral equipment.
• Execute device adds/moves/changes and support scheduled deployments in coordination with NOC, Service Desk, and Projects.
• Maintain high-quality ticketing practices: clear documentation, time entries, photos, notes, and next steps.
• Update and validate IT Glue documentation after each onsite visit and whenever configurations change.
• Communicate clearly with end users and site contacts, providing professional, confidence building onsite interactions.
• Ensure that no hardware is left behind and maintain safe, well-organized tools, loaner kits, and the company vehicle.
• Surface opportunities, risks, and project/quote needs to AM/TDM/SDM with complete context.

• Minimum 3 years of IT Field Services experience.
• Minimum 3 years supporting business technology environments.
• Tier 2 to Tier 3 technical support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
