Associate, Commercial Insurance

This role is responsible for providing support to the Commercial Insurance teams by processing documents, invoicing premiums, preparing cover letters, producing certificates of insurance and schedules. The Associate handles issuance and sending of certificates, pre-renewal, renewal, new business submissions and proposals as requested, helps with the maintenance of activity lists as requested (Endos, polos, account discrepancies, SOV’s, etc), and supports Commercial and administrative processes, procedures and best practices.

While the probationary period is fully in-office, this is a hybrid role based out of the Acera Kelowna-Hardy office location.

• Level 1 license preferred and working towards Level 2 BC Broker License
• Working knowledge of insurance document management software (EPIC) & Policy works
• Skilled user of Microsoft office - Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint

The salary range for this role is $45,000 to $55,000 per year. Compensation is determined by a combination of factors including a candidate’s experience, job-specific knowledge, and skills. Internal equity to ensure fairness across the organization and region/location is also considered.
