About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Buyer is responsible for procurement activities in a centralized service, including inventory and non‑inventory goods and services. The Buyer assists with supply/service contract management for facilities and agencies as directed by the Procurement Manager according to established procurement policies.

A skill test will be included as part of the selection process.

About You
  • Grade 12 or equivalent required
  • Two (2) year post‑secondary program in Business or equivalent required
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a supply chain environment
  • SCMA Certificate or an acceptable combination of education and experience considered an asset
  • Advanced working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Working knowledge of SAP operating system preferred
  • Ability to work in a self‑directed environment and also effectively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Willingness to learn new computer programming
  • Competencies in other languages considered an asset;
    French preferred
Hours
  • Permanent full‑time position; 70 hours bi‑weekly
  • Approximately 12 months
Compensation and Benefits

$26.84 - $30.84 hourly
