Procurement Buyer

Okanagan College seeks a passionate Procurement Buyer to join its transformative team. This full-time role focuses on procurement support, supplier management, and effective purchasing solutions.

As the Buyer in Procurement Services, you will report to the Manager and play a crucial role in the College's purchasing system. Key responsibilities include processing purchase orders, obtaining quotes, and ensuring compliance with policies and trade agreements. Collaborating with various departments, you will help drive efficient procurement practices and enhance inventory management while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process purchase requisitions and manage orders

• Ensure compliance with trade agreements and policies

• Maintain procurement documentation and audit records

• Coordinate communication with suppliers and clients

• Support competitive procurement processes and supplier relationships

Requirements:

• Diploma in Business Administration or related field

• 2-3 years of procurement experience

• Knowledge of public-sector procurement principles

• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office

• Strong analytical and communication skills
