Manufacturing procurement expertise meets hands-on purchasing in Penticton, BC, supporting Kinetic Custom Trailers through supplier management and material planning.
As Senior Buyer, you will manage strategic and operational purchasing for custom trailer manufacturing. The role requires manufacturing procurement experience, supplier negotiation, and ERP/MRP proficiency. You will help ensure materials, fabricated components, equipment, and production supplies support production schedules, quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage end-to-end purchasing for materials, components, equipment, and supplies
- Review production schedules, BOMs, and ERP/MRP requirements
- Identify shortages, long-lead items, and supply disruptions
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and agreements
- Maintain purchasing, supplier, and pricing information accurately
- Minimum 5+ years purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing
- Post-secondary education in supply chain, business, procurement, or related field
- Understanding of manufacturing operations and production flow
- Experience sourcing fabricated components or industrial materials
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
