Join the YMCA as a Facility Cleaner in Summerland, BC, and play a crucial role in maintaining safe and inviting spaces. With flexible hours and a commitment to cleanliness, you’ll support both Penticton and Summerland facilities.

This permanent part-time position focuses on maintaining the overall presentation and safety of YMCA facilities. Candidates will perform routine cleaning tasks and ensure that spaces are welcoming for visitors, members, and staff. You will work independently while following set guidelines and play a key part in supporting community wellness programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of facilities

• Remove garbage and maintain disposal areas

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned spaces

• Clean and sanitize washrooms and high-touch areas

• Monitor and replenish facility supplies

Requirements:

• Experience in cleaning or custodial work preferred

• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Reliable vehicle for travel between locations

• Basic First Aid and CPR-C certification is an asset
