Lead maintenance operations at Mariposa Gardens Retirement and Care Community in Osoyoos, BC, with expertise in building systems and safety.
As Maintenance Manager, you will lead department team members supporting a safe Long Term Care Community and Retirement Residence. The work includes general maintenance, minor repairs, fire safety, scheduled servicing, contractor coordination, and expenditure monitoring. You will also guide recruitment, orientation, and performance management according to organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and monitor maintenance department operational activities
Supervise general maintenance, repairs, fire safety, and servicing
Refer specialized electrical and plumbing work to contractors
Lead recruitment, orientation, and performance management processes
Monitor expenditures and address monthly budget variances
Requirements:
Relevant post-secondary diploma, such as Building Systems
Minimum three years of management experience
Health and Safety Certification, levels one and two
Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, fire, and building systems
Ability to interpret building prints and drawings
Apply maintenance leadership, building systems knowledge, and safety expertise to support residents at Mariposa Gardens in Osoyoos.
