Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Water & Wastewater Operations Supervisor (EOCP Level
3) on behalf of a leading utility services organization in Kamloops, BC. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operations leader with a strong background in water, wastewater, utility infrastructure, and field operations. In this role, you will oversee daily utility operations, maintenance programs, regulatory compliance, and operational performance while leading a team of operators and technical staff.

Responsibilities:

Utility Operations & System Performance

• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of water, wastewater, and utility infrastructure systems.
• Monitor system performance and implement corrective actions to improve reliability, efficiency, and service delivery.
• Utilize SCADA and other monitoring systems to support operational performance and system optimization.
• Investigate operational issues and implement solutions to minimize service disruptions and equipment failures.

Maintenance & Asset Management

• Manage preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Coordinate maintenance activities using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Support asset reliability, lifecycle planning, and equipment performance initiatives.
• Assist with inventory management and operational resource planning.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operators and field personnel.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management activities.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure employees have the training, tools, and support required to perform their work safely and effectively.

Safety, Compliance & Emergency Response

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures, emergency response plans, and safe work practices.
• Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits.
• Participate in and oversee emergency response activities when required.

Project & Contractor Coordination

• Coordinate work performed by internal teams, contractors, and service providers.
• Support operational improvement projects and infrastructure upgrades.
