Role Purpose

Own and control all day-to-day warehouse,
yard, and outside material operations
, ensuring materials are received, stored, kitted, staged, and delivered to production accurately, safely, and on schedule.

This role is the single point of ownership for warehouse execution, inventory discipline,
outside storage areas
, and material availability in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities Warehouse, Yard & Outside Material Flow
  • Plan and assign daily warehouse yard, and outside work (receiving, put‑away, kitting, staging, yard moves)
  • Ensure material flows to production without delays or shortages, including materials stored outside.
  • Protect critical operations (burn table, welding, assembly) from material starvation
  • Maintain clean, organized warehouse and yard layouts
  • Manage safe and efficient movement of large items between outside storage, yard, and production
Inventory Ownership
  • Own inventory accuracy and location discipline across indoor and outdoor storage areas
  • Manage and track outside large‑item inventory (steel, frames, components, oversized materials)
  • Enforce labeling, scanning, and put‑away standards
  • Lead cycle counts and corrective actions, including yard and outside inventory
  • Identify min/max gaps and material risks ahead of production
  • Ensure kits are built complete and on time
  • Review upcoming BOMs (1–2 weeks out) for readiness
  • Escalate shortages early — before production is impacted
  • Reduce rework caused by missing or incorrect kits
Leadership & Safety
  • Lead daily warehouse huddles
  • Enforce standard work and safe material handling
  • Cross‑train staff for coverage
  • Coach performance issues in real time
Coordination
  • Act as escalation point for production, logistics, and purchasing
  • Coordinate with Logistics on inbound/outbound priorities
Hands‑On Support
  • Forklift certified for emergency or peak coverage only
Required Qualifications
  • 3–7 years in manufacturing or industrial warehouse environments
  • Prior lead or supervisor experience
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and willingness to learn MS Business Central
