Sanitation Technician Position

Take on the role of Sanitation Technician at the Valens Agritech facility in Kelowna. Focus on maintaining cleanliness and adhering to safety standards in production.

The Sanitation Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring all production areas are thoroughly cleaned and compliant with safety regulations. You will assist in daily sanitation tasks, monitor the quality of cleaning operations, and manage documentation as required. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize production areas and equipment

• Assist and mentor teammates in sanitation processes

• Verify adherence to safety and quality standards

• Execute SOPs for handling cleaning chemicals

• Regularly manage waste removal and recycling duties

Requirements:

• Proven experience in sanitation within a manufacturing context

• Capable of standing for long periods and lifting 30 lbs

• WHMIS certification or commitment to obtain upon hiring

• Strong attention to detail and multitasking capabilities

• Effective communication skills, written and verbal
