Aboutthe Role
Kinetic Custom Trailers is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Buyer to join our team on site. This role is ideal for a purchasing professional with strong manufacturing experience who can operate independently, build supplier relationships, and support a fast-paced production environment.
This position is a step above a traditional Buyer role and is intended for someone who brings both strategic purchasing capability and hands-on execution. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials, components, and services are sourced efficiently to support operational demands and company growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manage purchasing activities for production materials, components, and operational supplies
- Develop and maintain strong supplier and vendor relationships
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supply agreements
- Monitor inventory levels and support production planning requirements
- Work closely with operations, production, and project teams to ensure material availability
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Track supplier performance related to quality, delivery, and reliability
- Assist in forecasting and procurement planning for upcoming projects and workloads
Ensure purchasing activities align with company policies and production schedules
- Minimum 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, Procurement, or a related field
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production flow
- Experience sourcing fabricated components, industrial materials, or custom manufacturing parts
- Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work on site in a fast-pace and collaborative environment
- Competitive Pay: $95,000 to $110,000 CAD, based on experience

The pay range for this role is:
