Job Description:
Job Summary The role is responsible for analyzing samples (Product and Packaging) timely and accurately in a fast-paced production environment. Roles require accurate data recording with some judgment to interpreting test results against limits and standards.

- Post-secondary education in Chemical Engineering, Chemical technologist/technician or related disciplines with detailed knowledge of common laboratory practices and procedures.
- Minimum: 1-2 years’ experience in a high volume routine laboratory testing environment.
- Preferred: 3-5 years of experience, Exposure to Production environment, Food and Beverage environment, Auditing experience Working experience of ISO, HACCP and any of the Continuous improvement process is preferred (Lean, Six Sigma, 20 Keys)
- Supervision No direct report but this role is expected to train and oversee the day to day development of one to two interns/co-op students or temporary hires during peak times, per year

Working Conditions- Primarily a laboratory environment and standing for a very large % of the day (High Frequency)
- Multitasking and extended attention to detail is critical in this role (High Frequency)
- Some tasks involve being in a noisy production (Bottling /Cellars) environment (Low Frequency)
- Must be able to work shifts
- Must be able to work alone (some shifts you work alone)
- Understanding delivery of accurate result as it relates to Quantity vs Quality. (Routine lab vs Research)
Compensation is $24 per hour fixed term contract
