Operate powder coating equipment in Kelowna as a Powder Coater, using mechanical aptitude and craftsmanship on an afternoon shift. Prepare parts and inspect finishes for consistent quality.
Wekid Mfg, part of the MAKR Group, needs a hands-on Powder Coater for its manufacturing environment. You will work with stainless steel, aluminum, and pipe materials while applying powder coating principles. The position requires equipment operation, blueprint reading, teamwork, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare stainless steel, aluminum, and pipe parts for coating
- Operate guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems
- Monitor gauges and equipment operation for defects
- Inspect paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality
- Promote safety and support on-time customer deliveries
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Experience with powder coating or industrial painting
- Manufacturing and fabrication process experience
- Blueprint reading ability and mechanical aptitude
- Legal authorization to work in Canada and criminal record check
