Cut and form wire mesh and sheet steel in Kelowna West using production equipment and accurate measuring skills. This position follows a fixed day shift.
As a Loose Shop Worker, you will prepare materials to customer specifications for the assembly department. The work includes checking finishes, mesh openings, and dimensions carefully. You will also complete shipping preparation and production records.
Key Responsibilities:- Cut wire mesh and sheet steel to specifications
- Form materials using production equipment, including a roll former
- Verify finishes, openings, and dimensions accurately
- Supply prepared materials to the assembly department
- Bundle, label, and record completed production stages
- Experience measuring and cutting materials accurately
- Comfort operating or working around powered equipment
- Ability to lift 40 pounds repeatedly and handle awkward materials
- Reliable attendance during a fixed day shift
- Sufficient English for safety instructions and order specifications
