Pediatric Home Care Nurse- 8 Hour Night shifts in Kelowna

We are recruiting nurses (RN/LPN) to add to a nursing team caring for a pediatric youth client residing in Kelowna, BC. This job will entail providing 1:1 respite care in the home environment, monitoring and caring for the child with medical needs. Paid training is provided for Non-Invasive Ventilation (CPAP).

Shifts are flexible, can be scheduled around another job.

Duties include:

medication administration, personal care, assessments, G‑tube care, and monitoring, seizure management, safety, documentation and use of medical devices such as Non‑Invasive Ventilation (CPAP) (all training is provided for medical devices). The nurse would be responsible for the care of the child so the parents can have a break.

Care will be provided in the child’s home.

• Health Care Aides require registration with the BC Care Aide Registry
• Valid CPR ‘C’ / BLS certification or better
• First Aid
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
