• Provides nursing care to OR patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as‑needed basis.

Shift hours:
Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:00.

Summerland Health Centre is a small and very efficient Perioperative Unit that provides quality care for Day Surgery Procedures. As member of the SHC surgical services’ team, you will coordinate and oversee the overall care of the client and set priorities, provide clinical expertise and leadership for the plan of care, plan and implement health care treatments and interventions, and assign and delegate tasks as appropriate to other members of the healthcare team.

You will report to the Manager, Clinical Operations Operating Room.
