About the Job

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) will provide comprehensive and coordinated nursing services related to sexual and reproductive health, including but not limited to STI and blood‑borne infection (STBBI) screening, testing, treatment and contact tracing, contraceptive management, pelvic exams, cervical cancer screening, HIV pre‑ and post‑exposure prophylaxis, immunizations, and gender‑affirming care. The role applies a health equity, social justice and determinants of health lens to all key responsibilities, ensures clients are supported in navigating the health care system, and provides trauma‑informed, person‑centered, gender‑inclusive, holistic and culturally safe care that honors Indigenous knowledge, wisdom and diversity.

Care is delivered within a person‑ and family‑centered care model.

  • Prevention, education, health promotion, assessment, treatment, contact tracing, coordination, support, liaison and client referral to other health services.
  • Partnership with other health care providers and community‑based services and agencies, both internal and external to IH.
  • Clinic‑based and outreach‑based services; may be outside of the nurse’s home community.
Employment Details

This is a term‑specific part‑time (0.59) opportunity until March 26, 2027.

Shifts

Week 1:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 08:00–16:00. Week 2:
Wednesday, Thursday 08:00–16:00.

  • Travel is required for this position. Transportation arrangements must meet the Employer’s requirements.
